Project 52 Weeks 20-23

I'm still plugging away at my Project 52. I haven't missed a week yet, and we're coming up on the half-way mark.

I can't believe how fast this year is flying by!

Week 20: Mothers

Three mamas here. I was so happy I got to spend Mother's Day with my mom. :)


Week 21: Favorites

I'm pretty sure I've posted hydrangeas approximately 342 times on my blog. They are my very favorite flower. And these are from my parents' yard. :swoon:

Andrew takes baseball SO SERIOUSLY. Also, pre-haircut. Post-sunscreen.

Project 52 Weeks 18 - 19

Still life is certainly not my normal photography, but I'm kind of in love with this shot. I love the composition and the light. And my fun basket.

I'm catching up on my Project 52 again. I keep thinking of them, and intentionally snapping pictures for the weekly challenge, I just can't seem to get them edited and posted in time.

Brian works so hard and puts so much time in at the office and at school getting his MBA that he misses lots of fun family time. We keep telling ourselves that he's sacrificing now for our future. Also, he's sacrificing shaving time for sleep. :)

Andrew's eyelashes are amazing and I swear they keep getting longer. I wish he could share them with me.

Project 52 Catch Up

So maybe I'm going to have to post my Project 52 photos a few weeks at a time. I'm keeping up with the photos, it's just a matter of getting them posted.

So far I'm loving all the prompts!

Week 9: A Great Leap



I love our mall. There's no play area, but there are these cool planters that kids have played on for years and years. Andrew loves them!

Week 10: Be Still



Andrew was so still and quiet on his first plane ride as a big kid. I was very proud of him!

Week 11: The "Eyes" of March



He's my almost St. Patty's day baby - his birthday is the 16th.

True Love & Cabin Fever

I'm already a week late in posting my Project 52 photos and it's only weeks 7 and 8. I have my photos though and I really, really want to complete this project, even if I'm late sometimes.

Caroline's little Valentine onesie was adorable. (It's from Pocket Baby on Etsy.) I'm pretty sure any snuggly, chubby baby = true love.

Cabin Fever



We really haven't been stuck inside too much this winter what with our abundance of 75 degree days. But Andrew always seems like he's just about the burst with excitement and the need to run. Maybe all little boys are like this, no?

I had planned to take all my Project 52 shots with my big girl camera, but here we are on week five, and I've already resorted to my iPhone.

But it takes some really pretty photos, and it's always by my side.

So now I'm hoping to have a nice mix of dSLR photos and instagram photos for this project.

This is the little chandelier in Caroline's room. I keep it turned down really low in the mornings as we're all waking up.

Self Portrait

So the theme for this week's Project 52 was Self Portrait.

I could have gotten creative and tried something new and fun with my tripod, but I ran out of time. So, you get me, all ready for the day, in my bathroom.

Clean Slate

Week 1: Resolution

Out with the Christmas decorations and in with the fresh start, the clean slate.

The new year is always an exciting time. It's a chance to reevaluate where you've been and where you're headed.

I'm not so good at making resolutions. I've never been very good at actually following through, but I do have a few goals I want to work towards in 2012.

I have got to get myself organized. I keep losing things and forgetting about things and running out of important things like toilet paper. So I'm going to try to tackle one organization project a month. I could start with the way in which I put away my Christmas decorations or file my bills and papers in the office, but I think I'll just clean out my pantry and do some meal planning.

And make a list the rest of my projects.

Do something fun with the kids once a week. Even if it's just going to a birthday party or the mall, I want to do something special and memorable once a week. Again, I need to make a list of fun activities for us.

Clean out my house. We've been here for five years now, and I feel like we've never gotten rid of a single thing we've brought in. I know that's a bit of an exaggeration, but oh my word, this place is full. Again, I think I need to start with one room at a time, making a plan of attack.

Return emails daily. I am the WORST at returning email. I'll read one on my phone and think I should reply to that on my computer and then forget and before I know it, it's three days later and I feel bad that it's so late so I just don't reply. Bad, bad, bad. So I'd like to try to reply immediately.

And y'all, that's it. I can do these things this year, right?

I also have some ideas and goals for the blog. I'm seriously considering a Project 365. I know I didn't even finish my one photo a week last year, but I think I can really do this, especiallly if I can count cell phone pictures.

I'm pretty sure I actually finished taking one picture a week last year, I just didn't follow through with posting them on my tumbler blog. So I need to reconsider the way in which I keep up with my photos. Maybe I'll do a weekly post here, or just save them and have a book printed.

I for sure want to participate in Darcy's Project 52 Photo Challenge. I like the prompts and having something specific to find and shoot.

This week's prompt: Resolution.

Seems like a great place to start!
